Although the "Charming Clarinets" were born out of a summer personnel emergency, Anja Bachmann, Gundula Hußke and Daniel Rothe grew so fond of them that they have now also developed a rich repertoire for this charming line-up. The ensemble enjoys using classical and romantic works for its musical "tri-conversations" just as much as contemporary or jazzy compositions.

In early summer 2009, for example, the three charming musicians explored their romantic streak and took on the musical organisation of the CD project "Letters by and to Novalis".
 
Incidentally, Mozart must have found the harmony of three clarinets extremely charming, as he penned some wonderful pieces for this constellation...
